Wang highlighted that closer ties would benefit both nations amid global economic challenges.
During the conversation, Wang urged Germany to uphold the one-China principle and contribute to stability across the Taiwan Strait. He also advocated for resolving economic and trade issues between China and the European Union through dialogue instead of confrontation.
German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul expressed optimism about the ongoing positive momentum in China-Germany relations. He voiced support for increased high-level exchanges and deeper cooperation in trade and economic sectors, reaffirming Germany’s commitment to the one-China policy.
The ministers also addressed pressing international matters, including the situations in Iran and Ukraine. Wang reiterated China’s commitment to supporting peace efforts and enhancing communication with Germany and the European Union.
