Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán will meet U.S. President Donald Trump at the White House on November 7 to discuss key issues including energy cooperation, economic ties, and prospects for peace in Eastern Europe, officials confirmed Thursday.
Gergely Gulyás, head of the Prime Minister’s Office, said the meeting has been in preparation for some time and aims to strengthen Hungarian-American relations through agreements on energy, military, economic, and financial collaboration.
The two leaders are also expected to exchange views on advancing peace efforts related to the Russia-Ukraine conflict. According to Gulyás, the planned peace summit’s venue has already been agreed upon as Budapest, underscoring Hungary’s diplomatic role in regional peace initiatives.
Following their discussions, Trump and Orbán will hold a joint press briefing at the White House to announce the outcomes of their talks. The meeting highlights both leaders’ shared emphasis on negotiation and diplomacy in addressing global conflicts.
