A delegation led by Bodo Ramelow visited Da Nang, Vietnam, to explore avenues for enhancing collaboration between the city and its German partners. The meetings aimed to evaluate current socio-economic cooperation and identify new opportunities for joint efforts in various fields, including education, vocational training, technology, investment, and workforce development.

Local officials in Da Nang expressed a strong interest in broadening partnerships with regions and institutions in Germany, focusing particularly on human resource development, vocational education, and German language training. They also encouraged increased German investment in sectors such as high-tech industries, semiconductor production, renewable energy, the green economy, and digital transformation.

Ramelow underscored the potential of vocational education as a key area for collaboration, proposing the creation of joint training programs. These programs would aim to provide graduates with qualifications recognized in both Vietnam and Germany. He also advocated for strengthening business connections and cultivating new investment opportunities between the two regions.

Germany remains a significant European partner for Da Nang, with cooperation extending across trade, technology, education, research, and cultural exchange. The visit served to reaffirm the commitment of both parties to expand economic and institutional partnerships further.
